a supportive, positive, and holistic experience

My Philosophy

Welcome to The Ivy Wordsmith—a place where words matter and are treated with great importance. As a formally trained educator from Teachers College, Columbia University, I strive to provide students with a supportive, positive, and holistic experience. Thus, I wholeheartedly guide them with the utmost care as they conceptualize and reveal their ideas throughout the written component of the college application. Through a streamlined process I have developed, college-bound students feel empowered when putting their words to paper. Ultimately, it is my goal to set them up for success as they confidently showcase their virtues, unique backgrounds, qualifications, and life experiences.

A Message to Parents of College-bound Students

“First and foremost, I want to acknowledge that based on the feedback I have received from many families that I have worked with, the college application process is just as confusing and difficult for parents as it is for their child.

That being said, I do my best to support your child’s needs when helping them find their unique voice and feeling positive about what they express in their college essays. In advance, thank you for considering my services at such a critical yet exciting time for your family.”
